樂高名畫 - 戴珍珠耳環的少女

忙於家庭好久沒有發作品了，這個是我近期的臨摹作品，是我的樂高名畫收藏系列 NO. 2 ^^。都算上是大作品，除了面積大，都用上了多個月收集便宜的材料。自己對這幅名畫十分著迷，尤其畫中少女的眼神，好像深深地望著你似的。本人很喜愛這畫，所以很用心地介紹本樂高作品製作過程，也會大篇講述維梅爾生平及傑作，希望愛藝術愛畫的大家會喜歡！

先來說說畫家 楊．維梅爾 (Jan Vermeer）或者 約翰尼斯·維梅爾（Johannes Vermeer），1632-1675年17世紀的荷蘭畫家。 他出生於荷蘭代爾夫特中下產的家庭，他一生工作都是在荷蘭代爾夫特 (Delft)。父親雷尼耶·維梅爾是位藝術品商人，媽媽來自是比利時。父親早期曾於市中心買梅赫倫小旅館，也開始賣畫生活。當父親去世後，維梅爾繼承了父親的梅赫倫旅館和畫商生意。

維梅爾曾娶了一位信仰天主教的女孩，其實是他作畫的模特兒卡特琳娜·博爾內斯。婚後改信了天主教，也曾當過蘭代爾夫特畫家會聖路加行會四次會長。他是一位喜愛畫風景和肖像的晝家。維梅爾的作品只流傳下來35幅，據專家考究，他一生的作品大概也就只有40餘幅。他和林布蘭、梵谷等名列為荷蘭三大畫家。

Hi ! It is my new Lego Mosaic Recreation No.2 "Girl with a pearl earring". Now I have the special hobby to collect the Art paint masterworks which it is recreated by my own lego. I like "Girl with a pearl earring" very much. It seems the girl is looking foward to you and both together.

The painting Girl with a Pearl Earring (Dutch: Het Meisje met de Parel) is one of Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer's masterworks and, as the name implies, uses a pearl earring for a focal point. Today the painting is kept in the Mauritshuis gallery in The Hague. It is sometimes referred to as "the Mona Lisa of the North" or "the Dutch Mona Lisa".



維梅爾作品眾多，除了著名的《倒牛奶的女傭》，多人熟悉的肖像畫作便是今次用樂高馬賽克臨摹的作品。這是於1665年的曠世原畫《戴珍珠耳環的少女》。

It is the original painting "Girl with a pearl earring" at 1665 by Johannes Vermeer.



《戴珍珠耳環的少女》（荷蘭語：Het meisje met de parel），畫作以少女戴著耀眼的珍珠為焦點的題材。維梅爾本人對於的肖像畫喜歡使用明暗對比的效果，細膩造型很寫實，在一幅柔和的黑色背景來襯托出少女英麗的臉龐和那閃亮的珍珠。

今次樂高作品大小為 1000x800mm ，用上大概接近 8000以上的樂高積木磚塊砌出來(沒有估錯的話)，最困難遇到的是因為要臨摹大師的寫實式傑作，不是隨心的設計，要求像真極高，起碼臨摹得一樣似的，試了不同方法，卡通式不太像真，最後覺得要如果表達真實少女臉頰，用積木區域模擬失真度便會大大增加，最後採用了顏色模擬（誤差擴散法）的方式去表達寫實的少女皮膚，衣服帽子的顏色。這樣失真度便減少了，和原作也較相似了。

I used ~8000 lego pieces to build up my recreation. The size is 1000x800mm. I got the difficult point that it is quite not easy to simulate the Vermeer's masterwork original one. I try the serveral methods. At last, I found the error diffusion technique to complete my expected mosaic.



和我之前製作的樂高《星夜》 有點不同，《星夜》是一個動態作品，《戴珍珠耳環的少女》怎樣看，哪一個角度看都是很靜態，維梅爾的構圖肖像鮮明，眼部處理十分吸引，畫中的少女側著臉，微笑的朱脣，耳朵配戴著白色珍珠，優雅地凝望著你，難怪有人認為這幅畫可比擬達文西的蒙娜麗莎的微笑。即使是放在家裡的自製模擬樂高畫，也好像有一位情深的美麗少女優雅地向你微笑，無論你走在何方，她的眼神也是情意地輕輕回眸，畫和人的眼神互相吸引。有人說畫中少女是維梅爾的家中僕人，也有傳聞當年作者是為了女兒而畫，畫中少女極有可能是維梅爾女兒瑪麗亞，但可惜是當年維梅爾沒有具體說明。

《戴珍珠耳環的少女》於1881 年曾被收藏家 Des Tombe 在海牙的拍賣會上以低廉競投價的2荷盾30分購入。直至Des Tombe 去世後，捐贈給海牙的莫里斯宮皇家繪畫陳列館。我沒有能力去莫里斯見真跡，但我們有樂高的，可以讓我們這些平民也可以製作屬於自己的樂高名畫收藏家裡。其實維梅爾這作品的代理權是誰屬也沒有搞清楚，因為作者那時候沒有交過代理權給任何人。

畫中土耳典少女是戴著頭巾的，但翻查歷史那個年代的荷蘭女性是不戴頭巾，所以有學家說這幅畫應該是屬於 Tornie 式，Tornie 是17世紀荷蘭語，意思是臉部，畫風是指介乎於肖像和歷史畫之間的一種繪畫類型，畫中人物會位於一個特別背景中間，會配戴一些特別異國風情的服飾，小飾物或道具，出現半身較多，多於表達真實肖像。有關於 Tronie 畫風可以到 wiki 了解。當時荷蘭名畫家林布蘭便是用上 Tornie 畫風而大受歡迎。

Arnoldus Andries des Tombe purchased this work at an auction in The Hague in 1881, for only two guilders and thirty cents. At the time, it was in poor condition. Des Tombe had no heirs and donated this and other paintings to the Mauritshuis in 1902. Now it is located in Mauritshuis, The Hague.

More recent Vermeer literature points to the image being a "Tronie", A tronie (Seventeenth century Dutch for a "face") is a common type, or group of types, of works of Dutch Golden Age painting and Flemish Baroque painting that shows an exaggerated facial expression or a stock character in costume.



說回有關於誤差擴散法，如果你也喜歡mosaic ，或者是平面創作，不是只指樂高，可以看看以下內容，介紹很詳盡，好處如果是用於樂高mosaic設計是可以控制只須購入某幾種顏色便可以模擬皮膚眼睛光暗等，令樂高畫像真度提高，當然有朋友會問壞處，其實要用那麼大量小點來模擬顏色，你也想到吧！另外這種顏色模擬不適合近看，越遠看越像真。

Turn back to discuss my recreation, it is generated by the error diffusion. I can tell you it's advantage that I can control the lego plates selecting with the narrow color range to complete the mosaic art and it get good simulation of her face, liquid eyes and mouth. But, if you think more , it also get the disadvantage.



今次作品嘗試採用了硬珍珠板來承托，上次用了木板，太重了！

To instead of wood plate, pearl board is another good alternative.



這是誤差擴散的做法，但壞處便是用上了太多 1x1 ，1x2 簿磚，製作成本大大增加。



這是部份所用「顏」料，每次也用了好多盤子碟子分類，有了分類，好像有了畫碟一樣，畫起樂高畫上來得心應手。

《戴珍珠耳環的少女》的背景是黑色較容易處理，但我會先做好較麻煩少女臉頰部份才蓋上黑色背景，黑色為了慳磚，那些臉頰陷入位我選用較多 1x2 corner 黑色來補上。

I completed the part of face,cloth first. It is easy to build the black background in last step.



家裡變成了小型畫廊，地方很小，買了個畫架來砌樂高畫，有點兒用上力度才砌上一粒小塊，但有了畫架可以不用很多空間來進行畫作！

完成《戴珍珠耳環的少女》50% ，那枚焦點的白色珍珠耳環，可以說是畫中靈魂，務求真實，我很考究這個，更改了好多次，起初用了金屬銀，灰來表達，也試過閃銀，但效果好差沒有預期好，最後選用了簡單的灰及白，在黑色背景下，反而效果出來像真好多了。珍珠耳環的閃亮原來是可以這樣簡單的

It is 50% working . I try different colour for the pearl earring. For my view, it is the good presentation with using the simple white & grey colour in the soft black background.



Enjoy 製作這個畫作，製作時間很長，每次砌少少，電腦做出來的雜色看得不順眼便慢慢修改好。這個應該砌到 80%時候，圖中的皮膚便是選定了主色紅色，卡其坦色模擬出來的少女皮膚。曾經試過用區域式的卡其坦色表達皮膚，深卡其坦色表達頭巾但完全失真了。看來用誤差擴散效果好，達到自己想要的。

I spent long time (serveral months) to complete my work & I enjoy the processing. It is almost 80% working.
